Alp League 2022-2023 – Competition Day 3 – Lausanne

Having already secured the title as Swiss Champion, Zurich had nothing to lose on the last day of the Alp League. Also, Lausanne knew they would for sure be second already, but they wanted to get as many points as possible. Hence, they played a very strong game, going all in. Lausanne won both of their matches. Zurich however won their first against Basel In their first game against Basel, Lausanne won 10:4. Basel then played another game against Zurich. The game was tighter this time and ended in a 10:2 score to Zurich. In the final game of the league, Zurich for the first time had to give some points away by losing to Lausanne with 21:8.

Overall, the Alp League 2023 was a great success. The games played reached a level we have never experienced before in Swiss league games. On this final competition day, we also had a great referee, Nick Vertessen, joining us from the Royal Belgian Korfball Federation – a massive thank you!
