Finally, an event in Lausanne! A lovely Swiss Korfball match day was held on November 30th, with a strong selection of players travelling from Basel and Zurich greeted by the welcoming members of Lausanne. Unfortunately, the Hauswart of the hall where the posts are kept decided to take an early vacation, but after some last-minute rearrangements we could begin the day!
After playing match-ups of divisions from the three clubs (and Basel laying down a marker for the upcoming Alp League), players from all clubs joined together in a fun mix of teams. Shout out to everyone who also played their debuts!
After the friendly games, the hungry (and thirsty) players whetted their appetites at Lausanne’s best lakeside bar. While there may not have been a club-level winner for the day, I think we can all agree that korfball wins this round!
