On January 13th the first Match Day of 2024 took place in Zurich. The Zurich club
welcomed Team Basel and our friends from Ulm, Germany, and with several player and team combinations we had a total of 5 matches. Divisions had a mix of different levels and experiences with Korfball, with the main objective for everyone to get plenty of game time and exposure to real game conditions. To achieve that, games also included the 25 second shot clock, to prepare for the regulations we will follow in the upcoming Alp League. It was also a good chance for the team representing us in Edinburgh to play together in anticipation of the international tournament the following weekend.
After the games we head out for a well deserved drink and dinner to finish the day. Overall, it was a great opportunity to get the blood pumping with some friendly games before things get dead serious at the Alp League (Just kidding – Let’s all remember the main thing is to have fun… but then again what’s more fun than winning 😈)
