The highlight of the korfball year is about to start this weekend: the Swiss Alp League will have its first competition day in Lausanne on 17 Feb 2024. Three clubs are invited to join the Swiss Alp League: reigning champion Korfball Club Zürich, KC Lausanne, and Korfball Basel. Clubs are allowed to join with multiple teams, with no overlap between teams. Korfball Club Zürich is the first club to enter with two teams this season. The next date for the Swiss national competition indoor korfball will be 9 March in Basel, and the Finals are planned for 6 April in Zürich.
We are very grateful to the organizing task force (Louise, Vasileios, Lisa) and the referees for making the competition possible this year. A big thank you to referee Tom Vlaminckx joining us from Belgium in February in Lausanne and in April in Zurich and referee Peter Bušík joining us from Slovakia in March in Basel, and Ben De Boeck for his referee support.
