Dear friends and supporters,
We would like to share some exciting news with you! Switzerland will be participating in the upcoming Under 15 European Korfball Championship in Hungary. It’s our first time competing in this international European tournament, and we couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity.
As you may know, the competition will feature teams from the Netherlands, Germany, Hungary, Portugal, Catalonia, Slovakia, and Switzerland. The Netherlands is considered the favorite to win. However, we are not letting that deter us. We see this as a chance to showcase our skills and hard work and make our mark on the European stage.
What makes our journey even more special is the fact that all of our team members are family! Aaliyah Gfeller, Parice Gfeller, Romain Nijenhuis, Guillaume Nijenhuis, and Alain Gfeller will represent Switzerland together. We have been training very hard for the past seven weeks (April/May/June), focusing on improving our skills, team tactics, and building a strong team dynamic.
While the competition will undoubtedly be tough, we are embracing the challenge with determination and unity. Our goal is to give our all and make Switzerland proud. We may be the underdogs, but we believe that with hard work and perseverance, we can achieve great things.
The tournament is just around the corner, starting on July 8th. We will continue to train relentlessly, refining our strategies and developing our skills until then. We hope to make you all proud and inspire future generations of korfball players in Switzerland.
We cannot wait to represent our country and family in the Under 15 European Korfball Championship.
