After a long looong break from Swiss Korfball get-togethers, on October 26th Zurich hosted a Match Day to make sure we don’t forget how the sport is played. And although the korfball level itself may not have been top notch (just being honest guys) as we were missing quite a few of our National Team stars who were resting after Turkey, we sure had fun!
Five divisions were created among players from Zurich, Basel, as well as our lovely friends from Ulm who travelled all the way from Germany to join us. The day featured four friendly matches between different divisions, showcasing great teamwork and energy. We also had quite a few supporters join us such as Fabio’s wife, Oscar and Nova’s family and Sam’s parents who flew in from the UK just to watch this spectacular event.
The day of course ended with food and drinks in Oerlikon but interestingly we called it a night fairly early. But fear not people, we have not lost our touch as world renowned party animals, it was simply the first event of the season, and we are warming up!
